"Skilled enough to take it apart, patient enough to put it back together, smart enough to hide extra parts when I'm done."

Lebensgeschichte

Derrick Allen Vern Shepherd was born on October 28, 2004, in Knox, Indiana. He grew up in the presence of his family, with his father, Mark Shepherd, and his mother, Essie Shepherd, as part of the home that shaped his earliest years. He was also surrounded by his sisters, Kayla, Korie, Karlie, and Kyarah, whose lives were woven into his own from the beginning.

From early on, he was drawn to hands-on interests and the world around him. Horseback riding, welding, small engine repair, guitar, and motorcycle riding all became part of what marked his young life. These interests spoke to a boy with curiosity, energy, and a feel for both movement and making things work. His early years in Knox held the beginnings of the person he would become practical, spirited, and closely tied to the people and pursuits that mattered to him.

He worked as a welder at Braun Corporation, where his profession called for steadiness, precision, and care. In that role, he contributed through practical skill and dependable craftsmanship, taking part in work that required focus and a strong command of his trade.

His career was defined by the quiet discipline of hands-on labor the kind of work in which each weld carried the mark of attention and responsibility. Through his position at Braun Corporation, he gave his effort to a craft built on accuracy, patience, and strength.

Derrick shared a love that many individuals dream for with the love of his life Autumn Ward.

He is loved and missed by many people including family and friends. His memories are greatly cherished and his memory will carry on.
