Not a day goes by that I dont think about you. I miss your smile, I miss that face you would make when you were in trouble. I miss hearing you scream at your video games. I would give anything to have you back. I love you John.

Biography

Early Years in the Warmth of Family

Johnathon Hamons was born on May 17, 2006, in Austin, Texas. He grew up in Liberty Hill, Texas, surrounded by the close ties of family. He was the beloved son of Crystal and Randall Hamons, and the brother of Mary and Kate Hamons. He was also cherished as a grandson, cousin, and friend.

In his early years, John’s world was shaped by the people around him and by the simple joys he loved. He enjoyed basketball, video games, and water sports, interests that reflected both his energy and his love of being engaged with others. Family and friends held an important place in his life, and his childhood was marked by those bonds.

A Steady Path Toward His Diploma

He was a high school student at Liberty Hill High School and was continuing his education online. He was working toward his diploma with quiet persistence, following the course of study before him and moving forward in his own way.

First Steps into Work

His career began with his first job at Taco Bell. It was an important step for him, not only because it was work, but because it gave him the pride of earning his own money. That sense of independence mattered to him. Those who loved him saw it too, and felt proud of the responsibility and confidence he was beginning to build.

Beloved Son and Brother

He was the son of Crystal and Randall, and the brother of Mary and Kate. His personal life was still at its beginning, held within the closeness of family and the years of youth. At only 17, he left this earth before he could start a family of his own, build a career, or follow the dreams that still lay ahead of him.

What remains is the truth of the bonds he did have: he was a child, a brother, and a young life deeply connected to those who loved him.

A Gentle Gift for Making Others Feel Seen

He was remembered as a sweet boy, someone whose presence helped others feel accepted. He had a way of listening to people’s feelings with care, making space for what they carried without judgment. In difficult moments, he could bring a measure of lightness, easing what felt heavy and helping those around him breathe a little easier.

What he left behind is the memory of that kindness: the comfort of being heard, the relief of feeling included, and the quiet strength of someone who knew how to be present for others. He is missed deeply.
